  I donated my car 2 years ago, completed all necessary paperwork, got my vacation voucher, and took my trip. Fast forward to a month ago when I tried to renew my vehicle registration... The DMV told me that a $600 lien had been placed against me from a towing company in Miami(300 miles from me). After being in total shock I called the towing company immediately when I got home. They told me that Kars4Kids had not transferred ownership out of my name when they resold the car a month later. According to everyone’s paperwork I was the only registered owner listed for that vehicle still (2 years after I signed the title over to them). I was told by the towing company that the vehicle ending up abandoned in the middle of Miami. It was requested to be towed by the Miami Dade sheriffs office. Long story short they didn’t do what they were supposed to in the beginning and to make matters worse tried multiple times turning everything around and putting it on me.
